Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia is one of the oldest, inhabited cities in the world. It is an interesting city with lots of archaeological findings dating back to the 6th millennium. It is located on the Hrazdan River. The city is beautified with lots of natural settings, including the volcanic hills that have become extinct for decades. As a major cultural centre, Yerevan holds most of the country’s Matenadaran archives and manuscripts that can be found in galleries and museums.
